The Department of Psychiatry carries responsibilities for Under and Post graduate teaching; providing clinical services in the different Ministry of Health facilities, and initiating a variety of Hospital and community-based research activities directed at Mental health issue with national and international import.
The Department has made substantial contributions in the Faculty-sponsored staff development activities and the curriculum reforms endeavors involving Small-group teaching, the Problem-based learning (PBL, and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
Following is an outline of the Mission, Objectives along with the strategies aimed at achieving them.
