Mission:

The mission of the Department of Nuclear Medicine in support of the overall mission of Faculty of Medicine is to provide the undergraduate and postgraduate students the opportunity to achieve academic excellence. We are committed to equip students with the opportunity to enhance their applied knowledge and increase their abilities to practice modern medicine and for graduate students and residents to emerge as leaders in the field of Nuclear Medicine.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Provide a complete, up-to-date curriculum to emphasize nuclear medicine's role into new curriculum including the biophysics for the newly admitted students.
  2. Develop professionals who become future leaders in the evolving field of Nuclear Medicine and expand graduate programs in Nuclear Medicine to include Ph.D.
  3. Continue to participate in and improve the clinical services at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital and help at other hospitals.
  4. Improve the quality and quantity of research with particular emphasis on projects of relevance to the health care needs of Kuwait.
  5. Continue international activity and expand the visibility of the Department on the international scene.
