Installed with a 16-bit, deeply cooled (-90 ̊C), back-illuminated, highly sensitive CCD camera, multi-wavelength epi-illumination, variable intensity UV transilluminator and a 6 position, motorized filter wheel, the Omega 16vS is capable of detecting even the faintest of signals from live specimens. The Omega™ is self-contained, reliable, completely controlled by a touch pad on the front of the unit and installed with state-of-the art optics, filters and illumination technology.
