The Complete System:

The BioRobot® Universal System is a robotic workstation designed to fully automate high throughput sample processing and liquid handling applications. The BioRobot Universal System provides a complete automated solution for all your systems biology applications, providing you with the widest range of applications in 96-well format on one instrument.

Innovative technologies include a bridge-mounted 8-probe pipetting system for the positional accuracy for routine 96-well applications with 8 tip-adapters; a high-precision plate handler; a multichannel dispensing device with patent-pending technology as an independent liquid delivery unit; an on-board buffer rotor allowing buffer identification via bar-codes, and buffer liquid level detection throughout the run; an 8-channel high precision syringe pipetting system for pipetting of small volumes.

High-precision syringe pumps allow small-volume liquid handling. Syringe pumps can be operated separately or simultaneously. Resolution of syringe pump: total of 12000 steps.
