• The abstract must not have been previously presented at HSC Poster Conferences.
• Appropriate ethical approval from MOH/KU or other regulatory bodies should be submitted when applicable.
• Abstracts must not include tables, figures, or references.
  
• Authors are responsible for the scientific accuracy, grammar, and spelling of their abstracts. Poorly worded abstracts will be rejected.
  
• All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the abstract review committee for quality (novelty/originality, importance of research objectives, appropriateness of methodology, interpretation of the data, style of writing (language, structure, clarity etc.)
  

Style and Format:

• The abstract is limited to 2,500 characters including spaces. Abstracts exceeding this limit will be returned to the author.
• Original Research:
  • Background/Objectives: A brief introduction to the topic outlining the research question.
  • Methods: A succinct description of the methodology used.
  • Results: Key findings presented in a clear and summarized manner.
  • Conclusions: Interpretation of the results including their implications or significance.
  • Acknowledgments of research grants and facilities if any.
• Case Report:
  • Background, Case Summary, Conclusions, Acknowledgments if any

Authors and Affiliation:

• An author may present a maximum of six abstracts, with no more than two as the first author.
  
• When an author presents two abstracts as the first author, they must designate a co-author to present one of the posters during the poster session.
  
• For each abstract, clearly list the names of all authors, the first author, the presenting author (if different from the first author), the corresponding author, and the correspondence details.
• The first author and the sequence of co-authors must be approved by all members of the research group before abstract submission. No changes will be allowed after the initial submission.
  
• The first author/applicant should be the corresponding author for all award-category abstracts. The names of the supervisors should also be included in the list of authors for award-category abstracts.
  
• The affiliation of each author must be included in the abstract. For students, the affiliation should specify their course (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy) and year of study (e.g., 3rd year student, College of Medicine; 1st year student, College of Allied Health Sciences). Students should not use their supervisor's affiliation.

• When submitting an abstract for an award category, please indicate the specific category you are applying for and provide all necessary details.
  

Peer Review:

• All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee for quality, including factors such as originality, importance of research objectives, appropriateness of methodology, interpretation of the data, and style of writing.
• Abstracts nominated for an award category will be reviewed by the Judging Committee.
