Physical Therapy is a profession which develops, coordinates and utilizes the art and science of physical therapy in planning, organizing and directing programs for the care of individuals whose ability to function is impaired or threatened by disease or injury. Physical Therapy focuses primarily on those individuals whose potential or actual impairment is related to the neuromusculo-skeletal, pulmonary and cardiovascular systems and upon methods of evaluating the function of these systems and the selection and application of appropriate therapeutic procedures to maintain, improve or restore function.
