The Dental Materials Science Laboratory is currently being equipped to a high standard, and we have need of a suitably qualified person to undertake the execution of research projects under the direction of the Laboratory Director.

The post is for two years in the first instance.

The ability to work conscientiously unsupervised, with a desire to contribute intellectually to projects, are essential. Assiduous record keeping, attention to detail, numeracy, and excellent English reading and speaking skills are necessary.

For the right candidate, earned co-authorship of publications is expected, and self-motivated projects may become possible.

• A relevant Master’s degree.
• Demonstrated experimental competence in mechanical testing in a materials science-related field is essential.
• Appropriate scientific publications will be of value in demonstrating the necessary skills.

The Dental Materials Science Laboratory is currently being equipped to a high standard, and we have need of a suitably qualified person to take charge of product identification, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and user instruction as appropriate.

Assiduous record keeping, attention to detail, numeracy, and excellent English reading and speaking skills are necessary. Self-motivated study of the necessary technical literature, communication with agents and representatives, accurate and timely reporting are required as routine.

• A relevant Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the current work needs.
• Demonstrated experience in laboratory management, instrumentation, mechanical testing, general experimentation, chemical analysis, physics, biophysics, electronics, computers, machine workshop, fabrication, and similar fields are all highly desirable, but coverage of at least several areas is essential.
