Prof. Dr. Fortwengel is involved in Clinical Research
since more than 20 years. Prior to taking over the professorship at the University
of Applied Science and Arts in Hannover in Germany, he worked in pharmaceutical
industry as responsible function in clinical research and quality assurance.
His particular interest is with clinical and regulatory compliance within clinical
research projects and he is a well known author of articles and books and book chapters
related to these topics.
Prof. Fortwengel obtained his PhD in Medical Law and Ethics from the University
in Hall, Tyrol, Austria. He holds further degrees in Epidemiology (University in
Bielefeld, Germany) and Clinical Research Methodology (John Moores University, Liverpool,
UK).
