Plattnerite

This sample of Plattnerite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Plattnerite is an oxide of lead with the composition PbO₂ . This sample is about 12x12 cm and is from the Ojuela mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico.
