MISSION & OBJECTIVES

The department endeavors to be consistent with the mission of the Kuwait University and Faculty of Pharmacy in achieving excellence in Teaching, Research, Community Health Care and University Services.

Objectives

Teaching

• Excel in teaching on par with international standards so as to produce professionally competent pharmacists for Kuwait and Gulf region
• Follow a path of life-long learning
• Get ready for establishing graduate and postgraduate programs in pharmaceutics

Research

• Develop technologies to produce cost-effective health care products
• Transform the Department into a "Center for Excellence in Pharmaceutical Technology"
• Make Kuwait a "self-reliant" in the production of drugs and drug products
• Promote interdisciplinary research with National and International organizations

Community Health Care and University Services

• Participate in community health care
• Provide training and Continuing Pharmaceutical Education programs for Kuwait and Gulf region
• Motivate young and genius Kuwaiti Pharmacists to be a part of the mission of Kuwait University, Faculty of Pharmacy and Department of Pharmaceutics
