Blood pressure is the pressure that blood exerts on vessel walls. When the pressure is higher than normal, it is called high blood pressure, or hypertension. , when it is lower than normal, it is called low blood pressure, or hypotension. Hypertension is a very dangerous condition as there are few symptoms through which this problem can be easily identified. Sometimes there are no symptoms at all. , hypotension has more symptoms then hypertension. , patients with either condition face equal health hazards if they do not receive medical treatment in time. Though the intake of salt is bad for both conditions, high blood pressure patients cannot have as much salt in their diet as the low blood pressure patients can. , hypertensive patients are advised to eat as little meat as possible as the intake of proteins and fats is bad for them.
